Welcome

And they said it wouldn't last.....
We hope you can come celebrate our parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 23rd, 2007 in sunny Tampa, Florida. Plans are for dinner and dancing at The Rusty Pelican restaurant. The Chase Suites and Sailport Resort are both in close proximity to the restaurant. They are also close to the airport and beaches.
Please take a moment to share stories of John and Sue, and your special memories of them.
We look forward to seeing all of you and reading your stories -
John, Nancy, Bill, Beth, Susan and Anne

Hey, I guess we're all late to the blog. It's easy to sign up a google account and post your comments or a favorite John & Sue story!!

They won't have access to the blog until after the party.....

Sue & John:

Although I was too young to remember your wedding (I was 1), growing up I remember visiting you with Mom and Dad in Earlville, going with Aunt Rose to visit you in Detroit (?) and visiting you with Jim in Long Island. We were always welcomed with open arms, laughter, beaming smiles and lots of love. To this day, it has remained the same. May you both cherish all the years you have been lucky to share together through thick and thin, all your children that you showered with love and your grandchildren that you adore. You are both more fortunate than most since you have each other, love, family and friends.
Happy 50th Anniversary
Love Always, Rosemary, Jim and Lisa

Fifty years!...and I met you at the beginning. Remember the Earlville days? Meeting you was a ray of sunshine. When you left it brought in the clouds. You are great friends. Love Sigrid

50 years (only 45 for me)and so many good memories. I remember all of us kids playing outside in Birmingham. Whether it was shooting baskets, riding bikes, playing tetherball, tag or some of the many indoor games there was always good times at the Genovese home.

You supported me when the Michigan teachers told me that I needed special speech classes (darn New York accent) and worked to get the school to let me play trumpet in the 4th grade when other kids were not allowed to start until the 5th.

Your support continued when I was unsure where I might go to college and recently after I left USAA after 20 years.

They say that Adam and Eve had an ideal marriage. He didn't have to hear about all the men she could have married... and she didn't have to hear about how well his Mother cooked.

Your marriage has not been ideal or perfect. There have been lots of problems, lots of aches, lots of stress. Yet, it has just been what a marriage should be. Two loving people working to create a family around you that goes on and on for generations.

I enjoy all the time that I still spend with you both. It is always so comfortable.

I care for you so much.

Bill
